I'm gonna get shot in the head. Twice
In about 4 hours.

An injection behind each ear. Smoking cessation, supposedly 86% effective. Done by a real doctor.

I'm on my last pack of smokes now.

1. What is it??/
Is this new? I might have to tell my husband to ask the doc about it. He cant take wellbutrin because he had seizures in the past.

Good luck!!

2. I had a bad reaction to wellbutrin too
My doctor refered me here. The place I'm going is called Wellplex in Tampa, but I guess they're nationwide.

The treatment is a combination of Atropine and Scopolamine, and you get pills to take for 2 weeks.

You can check it out at

www.stopsmokingamerica.com

They say you'll leave the office a non-smoker and it's guaranteed. You get a physical and an EKG in the office beforehand.

cost: $418.00

4. Retreatment for up to 2 years
A woman my wife works with had it done about a month ago. It worked with no ill-effects. She said a woman was in the waiting room, who had quit for 3 years, and started again.

If it works for a month, I'm free.

5. Please keep us posted on how the shots affect
you and if you stop smoking. I need to, also, but it's so difficult! Good luck!

7. Good luck to you! Whatever it takes to quit...
My father-in-law used to say that smoking was a nasty, dirty, filthy, vile, disgusting, revolting habit...or words to that effect. I hope this treatment works for you...

:applause:

8. Yes, please keep us posted.
I really need to get rid of this filthy and expensive addiction. I am taking Wellbutrin, but it isn't doing one damn bit of good. I checked out the locations and there is one on my area. So if it works on you, I will definitely make an appointment.

9. If you want to quit you can! Post here anytime for support, Pard...
A few years after I quit a Doc looked at my x-rays and without knowing my smoking history he told me he was glad I quit, my lungs were healing nicely. :)
