I was making a left through an intersection as this woman coming the other way is just sitting there -- no turn signal. I hesitate because I think she is going straight. The cars behind her start honking and just as she makes her turn, she turns her turn signal on.

How fucking hard is it to flip that little lever up or down?? Use your mother effin' turn signals!!!!!!!

There are idiot drivers everywhere.

But yes, it is annoying and bad driving practice.

6. I'm in Texas, and I'm a radical turn signal user
I feel bad if I change lanes without using it, even if no one's around.

I signal to pull into my driveway. And I can't just sightly hold the signal up, I turn it completely on and off each time.

7. I'm the same way. I get off work at 2am, there is no one awake on
my street and I still use my turn signal. It is just a habit...making a turn, use the turn signal.

9. And it's not just that
It's I feel guilty if I don't use it. Also, seatbelts. I cannot back out of the driveway and put my car on the street without my seatbelt. I put it on before I start the car. And I'm a Nazi to other people riding in my car too. I've actually said to adults, "I'm not starting the car until you put on your seatbelt."

But it's good to be radical about things that can save your life.

8. it's a Florida state law
that you have to have the wires to your turn signals snipped before you enter the state

NO ONE in that state knows how to signal

10. I was just noting the same thing this afternoon about lane changers
coming down the 605 freeway to the 405. Car after car at both the 405 interchange and the 22 exit from the 405 were either failing to signal as they moved into the one car-length space ahead of me or signaling as they changed lanes. Unfortunately, in Southern California, even at 70 mph speeds, if you allow more than one car-length ahead of you, you'll have five cars trying to jam themselves ahead of you and one car behind you, inches from your rear bumper. The fact that turn signals are considered an eccentric caprice doesn't help. I need to get out of this place after 35 years of this stress.

11. Like, get a life!
We So Cal drivers happen to be busy
slurping down Starbux with one hand,
dialing our cellphones with the other
and steering with our knees...and you want
us to what?
