School Mistakes Huge Burrito for a Weapon
N.M. School Locked Down After a Huge Burrito Was Mistaken for Weapon
The Associated Press

CLOVIS, N.M. Apr 29, 2005 — A call about a possible weapon at a middle school prompted police to put armed officers on rooftops, close nearby streets and lock down the school. All over a giant burrito.

Someone called authorities Thursday after seeing a boy carrying something long and wrapped into Marshall Junior High.

The drama ended two hours later when the suspicious item was identified as a 30-inch burrito filled with steak, guacamole, lettuce, salsa and jalapenos and wrapped inside tin foil and a white T-shirt.

2. Well...a burrito that big will become a chemical weapon after ingestion.
But I'd say it's more a harrassment agent than a lethal agent.

4. A 30" burrito does not become a weapon until it is eaten...
...at which time it is primed as a WMD inside the consumer capable of generating toxic gases.

8. And it was his extra credit assignment. I hope he gets extra-extra credit!
Here's the thing that gets me:

"Someone called authorities Thursday after seeing a boy carrying something long and wrapped into Marshall Junior High."

Why not just ask the kid, "Hey, what's that?" Seems like it would have saved a whole lot of drama.

16. That's one hell of a big burrito!
The burrito was part of Morrissey's extra-credit assignment to create commercial advertising for a product.

"We had to make up a product and it could have been anything. I made up a restaurant that specialized in oddly large burritos," Morrissey said.

That boy is going to go far.

and stopped at a convenience store.
They had one of these monsters. I asked the clerk if it was hot and she told me no.
I grabbed it up and took it.
I started eating it on the road since I was travelling to Arizona.
I had to pull the car over cause that sucker was so hot my eyes teared up and I went blind.
Nobody in the car believed me that that thing was that hot--so everyone took a bite and about died, lol. Talk about packing heat.
I bet that store clerk got a chuckle out of that one.:grr:
