Rise Against, Spearhead, Paris, Thievery Corporation, The International Noise Conspiracy... all bands I've recently discovered (except for Spearhead), all great, especially in this political climate. :)

I just recently discovered the band's music, and they're really great, such as the songs "Trouble" and "God Put a Smile Upon Your Face". :-)

I find that music does help in dealing with everything that's been going on. Especially here in southern cal where the traffic has turned into an even worse hell due to the strike I need a little something to keep me sane

As many of you know, I just got into a top-quality cathedral choir this year, and so most of my recent exposure to music has been participatory, learning and singing timeless compositions by the world's greatest composers of sacred music from the sixteenth to the twentieth centuries.

The Tudor composers produced some of the finest choral music ever written.

When I'm in a more passive mode, it's mostly my choral and classical CDs or the classical radio stations. I haven't felt much like listening to the other genres lately, even though I have a lot of world music and smaller amounts of jazz and rock.
