Who doesn't give a rat's ass about Cats or Dogs?

I really can't stand cats (due mostly to a vicious allergy.) I'm not crazy about their pissy, indifferent attitudes either.

I'm more ambivalent about dogs, but they can be just as annoying with the barking and the slobbering and the crapping.

Seeing as this is the lounge I'm sure I'm about to get flamed hard, but anyone else think the whole dog and cat adulation thing is just overrated?

I don't mind them.

But they're not special and I don't go around gushing about them like they just won the animal equivalent of the Nobel prize.

It's the adulation. I just find it puzzling sometimes.
