2. She's 3 months old.....
Her sisters and brother were rescued from St. Martins in the Carribean. They are nicknamed coconut retrievers...also called island hounds.
They were left abondoned on the side of the road, eyes still closed

6. Sandy looks sooo sweet. My impression is that s/he will have a
wonderful life in your household, and many wonderful adventures with the rest of the children- 2 legged and 4-legged. BTW, what is a skink?

24. Wow, some skink!
All we have around here are the little skinny, blue-tailed guys. Godzilla is an appropriate name. (Nice puppy.)

9. She has a great disposition as well....
really mellow for a puppy, yet still has the fun puppy bounce to her.
She's still trying to sort out the new change, but has really clung to my son as her one and only. Part of the reason for getting her was for him. He is a diagnosed disorganized schizophrenic and he has always had the huge connection with dogs. For all the stuff he ahs put us through, the one thing that keeps his mind in check, to a point, are dogs.

They will be each other's best friend...as it should be...And she chose him as her special friend. Aren't their instincts amazing?

13. To be honest...I'm not sure.
All we know is they are from the Islands. They are not treated very nicely there.
She will grow to around 40lbs or so.

17. What islands?
Honestly, her ears and her legs look like she might have some Italian Greyhound....which are really great dogs. She obviously has something else in the mix, but her face and ears really look like she might have some Italian.

Either way, she is really adorable.

Here's mine:

21. They were very popular with the European and American "upper-class"

beginning during the Italian Renaissance thru the early 1900's. Many portraits from those time periods feature people holding them or sitting nearby their owner.

Thereby stands to reason that if the island was colonized (I'm assuming it was) they would have been brought over.

Just a thought. I'm sure your vet can tell you more.

My mom has one. Very sweet, loving dogs.

That is assuming that she has some in her!

Good luck with the new pup!
