My Dog Just Ate Another Sock
On Tuesday of last week, my 1 year old black lab snatched a sock from the laundry basket my mom was carrying to the washer. He ran off with the sock and while she was trying to get from him, he swallowed it. The sock has not shown up.

5 minutes ago, the exact same thing happened. My dog ate his second sock in one week.

Suggestions? We've already given him a stool softener. LOL... dumbass dog.

1. I would take him to the emergency vet.
Really, a blockage can be deadly!

Good luck.

4. I'd suggest a trip to the vet, or at least call the vet.
I had a lab too, but whenever he'd eat anything he shouldn't have, it always showed up.

I'd be worried that it's not passing through..blockages can be deadly.

Labs are a lot of fun..big silly goofy dogs.

10. Now, if the poopie came out in the sock, that would be impressive!
Easy clean up. No scooper needed.

What is wrong with me today????

6. Feh, When he eats a shoe or two let us know
I had a lab that used to eat shoes all the time. We eventually broke him of this habit. But then I retrained him to just eat my brother's shoes. Came in very handy during wrestling matches. Snatch his shoes off and toss. Dog goes and eats shoes. Brother has to run away to save shoes.

Duffy (the dog) also ate bricks. While building a brick patio Duffy got ahold of a brick. We figured, eh, whats a dog going to do with a brick. He ate it. Carried it around for a while as a chew toy. We kept watching it shrink in size. We actually could say our dog shit bricks.

7. I'd be getting that pet insurance before I call the vet....
You're going to need it, that is, unless you have about a grand sitting around.

9. My vet charged me $100 to clip off a toenail. Really, my dog was
moping around because his toenail was barely hanging on, so I took him to the vet, they yanked it off (2 minutes tops) and it cost me 100 bucks!

8. A trip to the vet is in order. My dog thinks everything is edible.
She swallowed a jalepeno once and it came out the same way it went in.
