Who likes the Allman Brothers?
I am going to their concert in a couple of weeks. Lynyrd Skynyrd is playing as well. Both will not be the original members.

1. I am a big fan and actually like the new lineup with young
Derek Trucks instead of Dickey Betts. I really like their last studio album "Hittin' the Note". Great stuff.

9. Allman Brothers Live At The Fillmore East
From 1971, may very well be the best live album ever made, or at least I think so. Produced by Tom Dowd to boot.

As for Skynyrd, I love them, but ONLY the Ronnie Van Zant-era band that died in 1977. I can't acknowledge the cover band led by Ronnie's idiot kid brother.

After that: :shrug:

Story about LS: About 3 or 4 years ago, I went to see LS with my father (ZZ Top opened(!)) and they played exactly ONE song of their new (at the time) album. The whole concert was one big eulogy to Ronnie Van Zant. I would rather have seen them try to stand on their own, instead of pandering to a guy that has been dead for 20 years. But that's just me.
