It's not going to be the same without Freddie

Paul Rodgers first performed with Queen last year
Rock band Queen are due to kick-off their first UK tour in 19 years.

Queen are on tour with former Free singer Paul Rodgers in place of Freddie Mercury, who died in 1991.

The tour starts in Newcastle on Tuesday and takes in Manchester, Birmingham, Cardiff and Sheffield, before ending in London on 11 May.

The band - which also includes guitarist Brian May and Roger Taylor - has already enjoyed sell-out performances across Europe.

May first performed with Rodgers at a concert to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Fender Stratocaster guitar in London in September 2004. <<

2. No - a facsimile of Queen will be
asking people to pay to hear them play. Not that I need to be convinced to hear Brian May play anything, but why call yourselves Queen, fellas?

3. Hey, they finally got a decent singer!
All they need now is some decent songs.

4. Paul Rodgers? You mean the Bad Company guy?
Holy Toledo. Why didn't they pick Rick Astley? He's not doing anything these days.

6. C'mon, Rodgers is one of THE great rock singers,
not the dreadful Bad Co. sludge-rock, but his work with Free on his own is enough to earn him that title. I don't think he's right for Queen though.

7. What about John Deacon?
I never see him with May and Taylor anymore. What's his story?
