My rant on the state of things [WARNING, some bad language is present}.
You know what I'm beginning more and more to think of this whole political mess?

The republicans are currently screwing every part of the government they can get their hands on. If there ain't any holes, these mofos make them.

Well I'm okay with that, and I'll tell you why.

In the last election around %50 of the population of this country was able to drag themselves up from their easy chairs, drive a few feet from their TV sets, and pull the lever or punch the little holes out of those fancy sheets of paper. That's fifty percent, or one half the population. If the rest of this country can't take a vested interest in how they're governed then they deserve whatever it is they get.

The republicans are so busy drilling holes to stick themselves in that they don't bother to notice the negative effects it's going to have, and the people of this "fine" nation are so intent on the crumbs they're thrown that they don't look to closely at the cracks that are forming.

One day soon the whole sorted mess is going to come tumbling down and this nation won't ever be the same. Everyone who abstained or voted against their best interests because of those scary gay people is going to have to deal with the consequences of their fullish decision.

Furthermore I'm tired of dealing with that type. You want decreased property taxes? Then you can put up with no money to run your schools, you can do your own police work or pay thousands of dollars to a private firm to protect you. You want less protections for workers? You can put up with your forty hours a week of work that don't support you, you can put up with no insurance to protect yourselves or your families, and you can put up with loosing pieces of your body parts to your corporate masters.

What's that you say? Your in the middle class? Well congratulations, in the America the republicans are creating there won't be such a thing. If you can strike it rich with some outlandish oil, gold, or diamond scheme, then you might possibly stand a chance of staying in the middle class.

Whatever happens don't come crying to me in ten years when you realize you won't have a dime for social security, especially if you voted for that asshole, because, "oh, I like his wife." I don't want to hear about it when you can't pay your credit cards or your medical bills because you've been out of a job for X number of years, you were the one pushing for the bankruptcy reform legislation. Tell your children to enjoy their perpetual servitude.

Our legislatures are doing their best to destroy this country and, you know, it's just easier to sit back and watch it happen. People are going to hurt, some will even die, but after it happens you can bet your sweet ass that NO ONE will sit at the sidelines and watch important decisions run them by EVER again without at least asserting their right to vote for the bastards who end up fucking them when everything is said and done.

1. It's a good rant. Can't add anything.
Except that I hope the "mass awakening" comes soon before the most dire of our predictions come to pass.

I'm hoping that Blair doesn't do as well in this Parliamentary Election as he thinks he will. Because unless he is chastened we have no hope of anything getting started over here. And, who knows we probably won't even hear about it if he does badly because the spin will be in the MSM/Cables that he won a "Mandate" and that Iraq only increased his popularity. I hope that isn't the case. We will have to wait and see.

:-(
