I just figured out that my coffee maker has a delay brew. I can set it to have a pot of coffee ready for me when I awake in the morning.

Unbelievable, the fancy technology they make these days. :D

This is the first coffee maker I, myself, bought, smartass. :) The one I had before this one was a harvest-gold handmedown from my grandmother, that's how old it was.

I've actually had this one for a year. I didn't even realize I could set it to brew for later. I always throw away instructions with the boxes...never read them. So, I was looking at the thing tonight, and right there on the front, it said Delay Brew. Wow.

My sometimes-blonde self needs to remember to ALWAYS place the decanter under the brew spout, lest I have coffee all over the countertop tomorrow morning. That's what I fear most.

I'm going to get out the black nail polish and paint over the word "Delay" on my coffee maker.

http://hariousa.com/newcofsypcol.html Operationally, it's pretty 'low tech' and needs much human intervention all during the process. I doubt if it could be automated in any significant way. (ie: no "DELAY"). But it turns out GREAT coffee. And YES, it IS pretty "cool"!

On edit: Actually, my own model is somewhat more 'elegeant' than the one pictured, but it seems to have been discontinued.
