1. Up to $40
Not a penny more. People who pay hundreds for jeans are absolute suckers.

2. Okay, okay call me a sucker. I love Lucky Brand and Abercrombie and
Fitch jeans. They are the only ones that fit me perfectly. And since I wear them out (I mean until they are about to fall apart) I feel like I get my money's worth out of it. Good fitting jeans is worth it to me. Then again, I probably spend too much on all of my clothes.:spank:

on sale, i.e., GAP or overstock jeans in discount stores. I like any jean that doesn't make my tush look big (I'm a size 6, depends on maker though.).

I can usually get what I want cheaper, though; I'm a common size and I like two very common brands and configurations.

However, there is a great consignment shop near my office. I go there and get the same brand name jeans for about $15 a pair.

cost between $70 and $90. But they fit me perfectly. And to me a good fitting pair of jeans is an investment. Although, I was able to find some Mossimo jeans that I liked at Target for $22, so I bought 3 pair. My friend spends $150 on jeans, so I thought I was doing good

Yes, that's Tony Danza. I just watched a documentary on Tupac and he said Danza wrote him letters when he was in jail. Isn't that sweet?

14. I buy expensive jeans at outlets/ebay. Or, I did.
Somehow in my last move, I lost all but two pairs of jeans). I also don't have much free 'jean' time, so I've not bought new ones.

But expensive jeans, I have found, last longer, fit better, and look nicer. It's like bras for me (I can't buy one at Target/Kmart/etc. I have to shell out the bucks.)

Would I pay $130 for jeans? If I couldn't use ebay or shop at outlets, I wouldn't right now because I can't afford it without...you know, having my electric cut off.

I have bought bought a pair of capris at Kmart in the past few years, and they're doing okay.

Jeans are one thing I have to try on - even if it's a brand/style I know I like, individual pairs can still vary.

28. No, not worn ones -
For example, I have two identical pairs of casual Docker-style pants from Express. One is khaki, one is light blue. They are the same style and the same size - but the khaki pair fits perfectly and the blue pair is a little too big. I have several pairs of the Editor pants in different colors, and they all fit a little differently.

I have two pairs of jeans from the Gap that do the same thing - same style, same size, fit differently.

A really flattering pair of jeans is worth a lot to me.

Although I have to say, I paid $70 for a pair of Abercrombie denim capris, and I was shaking my head at myself the whole time. I walked out of the store amazed that I had allowed myself to do such a thing.

But they looked REALLY good.

Mmmmm, I would pay as much as $50 (I'm a tightwad, what can I say?).

Whereas I pay over $100 (with tip) every six weeks for a kick ass haircut and color, with highlights every third time.

My priorities apparently involve my hair more than my ass. But seriously, my hairstylist has fucking MAGIC hands and is a genius with color.

i can usually find a good pair for around 50.

but the ones that cost close to 100 or more can be worth it for some people as they might be the only ones that look right for them or give a certain look they can't get with others. they do mostly last long also.

26. When you sit in those pants, what happens?
My waist isn't really low rise appropriate, LOL...but I'm amazed at how many women wear them--I'm always seeing thongs.

Is that just how it's supposed to be? I have never seen a woman wear those and keep the waist up--though, I guess a belt would do that?

38. I don't think jeans that low look good on anybody.
Even if you're thin, your stomach can hang out over the waistband, and the low placement of the pockets looks really strange. But I guess I'm showing my age. I was in 7th-8th grade when bell bottoms went out of style. At first I thought the higher waist and straighter legs looked funny, but it didn't take long before I realized "What was I thinking?"

I could not believe it when bell bottoms started coming back in style, but I did hope it was a harbinger of 60s-70s politics coming back, too. Nope. Now we have the worst of both worlds--late 60s fashion and 80s politics.

39. i don't think they are good to wear with thongs
but i think the girls who do wear them with thongs do so because they are going for that look where their thong shows.

low rise underwear is probably the best. i guess it's just a matter of trying the pants on and walking around and sitting to see how well they really fit you and to make sure they can stay on. that's why the more expensive ones are worth it for some since they are the only ones that work.

the pants do get lower when you sit down so you have to make sure they don't go down too much and show your ass at the time you try them on.

31. Well I have a hard time because my waist is tiny, but I have a booty
on me and my legs are muscular, so jeans that fit in the legs and butt are huge in my waist. I like Lucky Brand b/c their's fit perfectly for all sizes. And also Abercrombie has some variations on their sizes. The best kind are the ones that you can get the length and waist size. There is a site where you can customize them. Expensive though!

30. take it from a guy who knows (LA Metrosexual)...
a nice pair of jeans are invaluable... They are diverse, as you can use them doing anything to hanging out to going out. That being said, the most I've ever paid for Jeans is $120. It is better to buy one premium jean than several cheap ones. Don't go for jeans that have a massive amount of fade (like a lot of Seven's do). Brands that are good include:

Blue Cult (great chick jeans)
Joes (hot right now)
Seven for all Mankind (don't get suckered into buying the $200 ones, though)
Citizens for Humanity (Made by Seven)
Diesel (for a little more flair if you are thinner)
True Religion (a lot more flair)
Paper Denim and Cloth (nice jeans but wear out rather quickly)

Overall, I'd recommend Blue Cult if they fit. They are a great all around jean, and you can find them on sale at Bloomingdales anywhere from $60 to $120 ($180 regular price).

I buy my jeans at Ross, Marshalls or the thrift store. Mostly the thrift store, because if I can buy nearly new name brand jeans for $4, I will.

I'm short, but ht/wt proportionate. If I was a hard to fit size, I'd pay what I had to, but reluctantly. I won't compromise on fit or quality, though. I want jeans that are comfortable, flattering and last for years.

47. I mostly wear mine for work
So it wouldn't make much sense to spend a lot of money when I'm going to wear them out. Besides, I'd look like an idiot wearing a pair of super-sexy jeans and a polo shirt with my name stitched on it.

The only problem with buying jeans is that the hip hugger/flared leg jeans don't fit me well at all, because I'm short with muscular legs. So I have a bit of a hard time finding things I like because that style is so common, but the "relaxed fit" or whatever they're calling the straight leg/ample butt room/waistband near the navel normal sort of jeans works best for me.

64. I can't wear jeans to work
so I just buy all of mine at thrift shops and garage sales (not kidding). I wear them mainly around the house to do chores and home repairs so why spend any real money on them?

66. I have to wear slacks and skirts.
But when I was younger I spent a lot of money on jeans. I have now found that I can go to the local thrift shop and buy a pair of Levi's for under $2. Most of them still look good(I pick through until I find a nice pair).
Besides, most of my clothing allowance goes to my kid!

69. It will.
My best friend only wore name brand clothing. Now that she has three kids she is the queen of the garage sales. Everything except her bras, panties and hosiery all come from garage sales.
