Are you using my avatar? (peace kitty)
Edited on Thu Oct-23-03 06:02 PM by rbnyc
When we first made the switch to DU2 I was upset because I couldn't have an avatar that I made myself and that was exclusively mine. I didn't like the idea of anyone having the same avatar as me.

I used the handcuffs for a while, and then admin uploaded the peace kitty for me, which is a logo I made for my political column in a local zine.

The first time I saw someone else with the peace kitty avatar, instead of feeling like someone else was at the party wearing my dress, I was really happy. And now everytime I see the peace kitty I feel so great and honored that someone would want to use it as their own avatar.

Now, I don't want everyone to switch to peace kitty. But I'm curious, how many folks are using it now. Please check in.

Thanks a bunch!

:loveya:

EDIT: P.S. See you in a couple hours. I have to go now.

1. I'm using it
I used to use the Bushron avatar, but then when the new batch arrived I switched to Peace Kitty. I'll switch back if you mind...

6. I didn't really realize it was an illusion.
The magazine I write for is called Pussy. I was trying to be thematic without being vulgar.

I'm glad you like it tho, thanks.

:hi:

7. Sexy as a lute!
Don't know what that means, but there you have it.

I'm always bothered when I see your avatar on someone else - I identify it with you. Also bothers me when others use the same avatars - some people I associate with certain ones, and when others use them, I get confused. Even sometimes when I see other Mark Twain's, I think, "I don't remember writing that. Was I drunk?" Then I realize it was someone else.

9. Heh - I've done the same thing.
I have associated certain avatars with individuals. It throws me for a second when certain avatars appear with other people.

10. That's why I have the painting in my sig line
easier to tell me.

And thankful for your license plate. And other people's sig lines.

maybe we should insitute a "only one person can use an avatar and GOPisEvil gets to referee all disputes" rule.

11. Yikes! I don't want that job!
:scared:

I love my license plate. Actually, I've got a set of real ones. Uh, different letters, of course. If I ever get an old muscle car, I'm going to reactivate them. :-)

12. I had no idea you created that Rene!
It reminds me of something I'd do myself actually, I thought about using it after i had the soccer ball... but I was the first one to ask for a George Harrison avatar so I felt obligated.

Still, I love the peace kitty! So cute :)

13. Nice peace kitty rbnyc
I understand what you all are saying about associated certain people w/ certain avatars. But I'm prone to changing mine from time to time. They're like moods to me.
