Memories, like the corners of my mind .....
Picture of my brother and I in 1971. Halloween on our way to school.

I'm Geraldine Jones and he's a girl scout.



Acutally it's wasn't Halloween, it was the first day of school.

Now I KNOW this mother fucker is gonna make the rounds. Beware .... I have a copyright on this.

6. It's my mom's wig.
My aunt was a hairdresser at the time. We borrow my brother's wig from our next door neighboor.

All the butch guy's that worked for my dad said, "Damn, Dick's (my dad) son make some good lookin' women". He loved it!

7. Too funny.
My brother used to put pajama bottoms on his head and sing "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" and pretend to be Dorothy. It is no wonder he directed musical theater and Opera. He would have been cute in a wig but I never thought of that.

Your brother looked adorable. I forgot to mention that the gloves absolutely MADE your outfit.

One time my cousin Scott (who is also gay) were hanging out with his sister (we were around 7 yo) and she dressed us up as "Miss Americas" (it was a tie). Scott and I walked their long driveway .... they lived in the country while Sandy sand "There they are ...... Miss America's" .... I stubbed my fuckin toe on a rock.

Years later, I lived w/ Sandy and her husband when we all moved to SF and she laughed ... "yeah it's all my fault you guys are gay".

Gawd, I have the best fuckin' funny family.

13. I always thought
it was sad that more boys did not get the chance to do dress up. My youngest brother would not have been caught dead doing that but the oldest of my two younger brothers and I used to have a blast doing a lot of silly things like that. I probably warped the poor thing but then we always were the warped two in the family and proud of it!

15. I told this story to Mary Wilson of the Supremes.
When my brother and I were kids, we used to take blankets and roll ourselfs up in them realllllllly tight. We called it "playing enchiladas".

Years later when we both came out, we both admitted we really were trying to be the Supremes.



Mary loved that story.

18. Oh hell yeah.
Between me, my brother and my cousin Scott we kept them in stitches.

Still to this day, my mom can't start her day at work if I don't call and talk shit. She works w/ my Step-dad and my Aunt Pat. So I call every morning and get their day started.

She's in New Orleans w/ my step-pappy right now. Miss Thang is finally gettin' her ass out and seeing the USA. They went to NYC last fall and they wanted their room sprayed to get rid of all of the "Republican Germs" following the RNC.
