Can you say "McCain" and smile?
There is this whole smiley potato commercial that says, "Say McCain and smile." But, I just can't. :(

1. But what about the Tater Tots? You have to smile
when you think about them, don't you?

Unless you've ever eaten them, that is.

2. No, I have nothing against tater tots and all, but
when I think McCain, I think John McCain and I just can't smile.

5. I voted for John McCain in the 2000 primary,
Believe it or not. I just did not want Bush* to win, since he was, in my opinion, the worst candidate. But Bush* used lies and "dirty tricks," as he did against Ann Rice in Texas, in the SC primary, to defeat McCain. I still do like John McCain, since he has gone after Bush* more than even the Democrats have. So I cannot understand his forgiveness and continued support of Bush*. It just boggles the mind. BTW, I voted for Al Gore in the general election, as the majority of Americans did, in 2000.:eyes:

7. McCain is better than Bush, I'll say that for him, but still
not too wonderful shilling for Bush against his good friend Kerry. I think that is really why I can't say McCain and smile. :(

12. I am totally confused about this, as well.
McCain and Kerry came together over Vietnam. They became friends and worked together to learn the truth about any soldiers who might possibly remain there. Kerry was wounded there and received three purple hearts. McCain was a POW and was held captive and tortured. And McCain has come out against Bush* even more than the Democrats, including Kerry, which I do blame Kerry for. So how can John McCain come out and say he supports Bush*? I've asked this before, on DU, so don't expect the definitive answer. The most I got was that he had skin cancer.

13. :( McCain is traitor. :( I can't think of a better reason, but
somehow I don't hate McCain completely although I will always be angry with him about his speeches against Kerry and supporting Bush.

Most of the time politics is shit. x(

15. This is exactly my point. Please understand me, my friend.
John McCain was not "a traitor." He stepped up to the plate and served in Vietnam, as John Kerry did. Both were heroes, and John McCain was held as a POW, and tortured. George Bush* was a draft dodger, as we all know. My point was that I can not understand why McCain, who has attacked this vile administration, even more than the Democrats have, would campaign for George Bush*. Makes no sense to me. Especially after the "dirty tricks" the Bush campaign pulled on him in 2000 in South Carolina, calling voters and telling them that he had an illegitimate black baby. That handicapped child was adopted by him and his wife, when she was doing outreach work overseas.:-(

17. Sorry if that offended you, but I think he acted like a traitor.
But not completely a traitor like Bush.

18. My point was that he has been the most critical of Bush*,
More than any of the Democrats, but nobody can tell me why he continues to support Bush*. Maybe the torture in Vietnam affected him. I know he bonded with Kerry over finding MIAs in Vietnam. I am just baffled. But I still believe he's a good person.

And you know you couldn't offend me.:-)

20. Yes, he did.
And they became good friends because of this. They do have a lot in common, so why he supported Bush* just baffles me, since he did not agree with his policies nor his actions.

Thanks, nice pic.:-)

21. The reason McCain did support Bush was to secure his
presidential bid in 2008. That is one of the reasons politics stink.

It is lovely pic, because they look so much like friends. Here's another one:Can't you feel the love...

22. McCain says he forgives Bush* for what he did to him in SC in 2000
I'm not buying it. I saw the two of them, appearing together, and you could cut the hostility with a knife. Bush* really hit below the belt, as he did with Ann Richards and John Kerry. This creep should be behind bars! But I just cannot believe that McCain has any affection or loyalty to Bush*, after the vindictiveness with which he has attacked this current, illegal administration, and with good reason. If he wanted support from them in 2008, this sure isn't going to help! But he was genuine friends with John Kerry.

11. What did I say, Ann Rice, again! Yikes, what possesses me?!
I did this one other time! She's the vampire lady and I certainly know the difference, LOL! Thanks for catching me, my friend, LOL! Yes, I definitely meant Ann Richards, who I like a lot and admire greatly. Bush* lied about her, dragged her name through the mud, as he did with John McCain. He should have paid for both, somehow.
