So who are the motorcycle-riding DUers?
:D

I'm looking into it all, very carefully. Got my first taste on a little 250 dirt bike, and I have to say I'm loving it!

Of course, the environmentalist in me wants the Electric Moto Blade, but it doesn't look too practical, even for my 15-mile commute.

So who rides? Can I possibly live another moment without a bike? :bounce:

Are you talking about driving on the street? The automatic response to this is: take the MSF course. The MSF course is the Motorcycle Safety Foundation Beginning Rider course, given nationwide (and in Canada?), usually at community colleges. It's money well spent, and course graduates get a break on their insurance. I took the course in 1987, and I'm glad I did.

There are many sites on the Internets where people discuss the topic of which bike to get.

2. I ride
I've been riding since 1962. Started on dirt bikes and now riding an HD cruiser (FXDC).

You ask, "can I possibly live another moment without a bike?"

No. Life ain't worth living without a good ride. Take a safety course and find something that suits your needs and go for it.

Oh, and try to keep it shiny side up.

3. I sit on "the bitch seat". Does that count?
I love bikes. Riding is so much fun.

4. Not any more. I was a hill climbing fool when young though.
Getting airborne when cresting was a rush.
Always wear a helmet when riding, folks.

8. The enviornmentalist can still go 140 mph once in a while
and know he's getting 50 mpg overall.

9. I had a dream 2 nights ago
that I was out test driving (riding?) crotch-rockets with Julie Andrews...I dunno if that's exactly what you were hoping for in this thread, but it's totally true, and a little disturbing. :D

10. Some earnestly meant safety advice from a survivor of years...
of bike riding.
Most bike accidents seem to occur within a few days of acquiring a bike. I personally know two people who were crippled within seconds of climbing on bikes. Be careful, ride safe, and have fun!

12. Yep, you have to watch the four wheelers, too...
Most of them aren't watching for bikes.

14. Half Raises Hand
I don't got one (ohhh but do I want one!). Most of my boyfriends have had Harleys... and this is the meaning of life, right here, right now.... holding on to a hot man with a Harley throbbing between your thighs speeding down 101. The wind in your hair and bugs in your teeth....

Freakin' bliss man.
