3. $330?????!!!!!!!
At that price, it should not only clean up the poop, but it should vacuum the floor around the litterbox and brush the cat's fur too.

4. It is expensive, but I'll tell you...
if it works, I'll buy two more. With eight cats, I need all the help I can get.

I bought one. Mrs. V. wasn't crazy about the idea because the "Litter Maid" was a disaster. But she ok'd it when I told her there was a money-back guarantee. I'd better get moving, set it up & see if it works. Only have 30 days.

9. She has seven (maybe eight now) cats
She is also a pet sitter, so she sees a lot of litter box variations. She first recommended it to me last summer, and I've been waiting for them to come down in price.

23. I have 4 inside, and 4 outside
one of the outside cats was born in the bed of my pickup :D

He disappeared for about a year, then suddenly, *poof* , he returned.

And the world's biggest baby to boot!!!!!

18. I have one -
Edited on Fri May-06-05 11:48 AM by Madrone
Since I've moved, I have cats pissing EVERYWHERE! I spent the money rather than kill the cats. (also had one recently diagnosed with kidney failure) Didn't matter. They hung their asses out the opening and still proceeded to piss all over everything.

It worked for a couple of months - and now it's non-functional. The POS littermaid I had worked longer than that.

Granted, I understand their customer service is excellent, I just have not had any time to get ahold of them to figure out what, if anything, can be done to get my $300 doorstop operational again.

26. No problem.
Want to buy a litter robot? CHEAP? LOL

Just kidding - ;)

Hopefullly, you won't have any cats that don't turn around when they get in and piss out the opening. It's a HORRIBLE mess when that happens. They piss out, kick litter out, and walk in it. GROSS! I had to have my vet cut cemented litter (long hair + sodden feet + pasty litter on the floor in front of the box) out from between the pads of one of my cat's feet.

Also - be aware that you must keep on top of emptying the drawer! If you don't it gets stuck, but not before spreading wet litter and fecal matter all over the outside and cementing itself there.

I mentioned to someone else below - it doesn't hold much if any more than the littermaid. The 13 gallon bag thing is misleading. YES, you can stretch out a bag that large in the drawer, but the actual dimensions of where the litter lands in the bag is something like (guesstimate) 8x9 inches, and 2-3 inches deep. The litter also piles up rather than evenly distributes, which is why you're not getting much more collecting space than with the littermate.

19. I'm in, just ordered one...
The litter box chores are the #1 worst job in my household, so as soon as I saw this thread, I read the reviews/testimonials and ordered one.

I like the fact that it doesn't rely on those small waste bins like the litter maids do. My cat jessie can fill a litter maid bin in two days, and if I can insert a 13 gallon kitchen trashbag into the waste drawer, that's just awesome. Even if it only holds 1/2 the waste.

If anyone wants to know how well it works with a living turd factory (and I mean that in the nicest possible loving way), i'll post the results.

doesn't like covered boxes. He's pretty big, sometimes his ass hangs outside of the box.
