1. The word comes from the ancient Greek and it means
"the writing of prostitutes".

There's been pornography since cave paintings.

Most of the major artists from all eras have produced "erotic" works, many could be called outright porn.

One of the first things produced on a printing press? Porn.

Photography? Porn.

Film? Thomas Edison fired one of his technicians after showing up at his laboratory unexpectedly late one night. The assistant was filming porn.

And the internet? ;-)

The sight of people having sex seems to be something human beings are endlessly fascinated by.
