We are on the do not call list, and we still get telemarketers every now and then...but not nearly as much as before

but I think there's a loophole somewhere in it. We used to never get telemarketers calling, except a few charities. But a couple of months ago, they found the loop hole and are calling again. It's still not as bad as before, we used to get at least 20 calls a day, and now it's like 5, but it's still a pain.

We've resorted to not using the house land line, except when ordering pizza or something. All the ringers are off, and all family members know to call our cell phones if they need us.

I got to tired of people wanting to speak to Mr. or Mrs. M_____. What f*ing time capsule are they living in where they still need to talk to the man of the house? The best was when they'd massacre my name then called back wondering why I hung up on them.

however, please don't take it out on the poor schlub on the other end of the phone. They're probably on an automatic dialer and have no control over whom they call. What you need to do is ask to speak to the supervisor, get a name etc. and THEN yell at said supervisor re: do not call list. The problem is not with the original person on the phone; the problem is that the person programming the predictive dialer hasn't done his/her job properly.
