My Hubby came to visit me at work today
by way of the ER. They called up to my floor and said he had been out back on a tow run and slipped off the truck and didn't , at first think he was hurt and realized latter he had busted his chin. He had to have several stitches and I got to hold his hand while they did it. He is pretty banged up all over. It was a reasonably good day til then.

not impressed. I said he was so lucky to have all that skill and knowledge in one room

3. well, that's bad, but also good...
having been injured in a car accident, I can honestly say having my wife rush to my side was the best part of the whole ordeal. I'm glad for him you could be there for him.

sorry that he got hurt, of course, but you guys having each other is a blessing.

4. That is true, thanks
He had them call me before the boss. He is really a big baby. He hates needles and once they numbed him up, all that worry went away and he actually went to sleep, he even snored....lol

5. LOL! hey, I'm 6'4", 300 lbs, and I am a wimp about needles...
mainly because I'm a "hard stick". They have trouble finding a vein. Makes all my encounters extremely painful with IVs and such.
I remember I had two nurses, one on each arm, constantly digging around to get an IV started one time. I told them, that except for the pain and the needles, that was always one of my fantasies! hah!

6. LOL
you remind me of one of my old patients I saw today. he had much the same experience and handled it the same. In 98 my Hubby had a heart attach and was given ativan.... which he reacted badly too. The needles made everything worse. I swear the next time he came in they called a special code to warn all the staff that he was a patient. I said he was the best example of the worst patient in the world and he was ALL MINE. You should have seen him in Canada getting tatoos. He is pretty much over it now
