Sarah McLachlan was awesome!
It is so nice to hear singers that can not only sing, but they write their own songs, and play INSTRUMENTS! There are so few acts that sound as good live as in the studio, she may even sound better.

There is too much crap out there of empty vocal gymnastics, and the music has no soul or depth to it. It is great to see singer/songwriters and BANDS.

Her opening band, The Perishers, were very talented as well.

I know, she sings chick type music. I was looking at some of the guys there, and wondering how many of them were dragged by their girlfriends. It was a great show, nonetheless!!

:)

1. Hey
I'm a guy.

I'm a musician.

I love this woman.

If I could sing that expressively and purely I would die a very happy man.

I'm jealous...

3. She is highly talented
I think talent wise, I would only place Sheryl Crow in the same bracket. That is bringing musical talent into play. Sheryl Crow's voice is a little "rockier".

Norah Jones is pretty good as well, but I put her more along the lines of a Bette Midler.

Back in the day, I played clarinet, so I suppose I appreciate musical artists more than just singers. If I hear another Destiny's Child song I think I will choke.

9. At the risk of sounding disagreeable -
Sheryl Crow is no Sarah McLachlan.

Not even close.

I wasn't expecting all that much the first time I saw Sarah live and she and her band just blew me away. She married her drummer, Ashwin Sood, and I, as a male drummer, will never get over my jealousy - professionally and otherwise!

5. If you get a chance to go, you should!
I don't think many could tell, but she was recovering from the flu. You can truly tell how good a singer someone is in a live performance, and she was amazing. No hint of sickness in her voice at all.

13. It was a very good show!
I consider myself lucky.

Best concert I ever saw, I have to say was Peter Gabriel. He uses crazy special effects, and I was absolutely amazed.

This was a very close second...she had a cool set, and her voice is tops.

location acoustics were great, but presented other doobieous problems. ;)

I listen to The Freedom Sessions frequently... Elsewhere and Ice are sublime.

Look at that stomach! I wonder if that is before or after baby came. If it's after, I'm doubly impressed!

26. That is an older video, before
I had good seats, and she looked tiny from where I could see. Her arms were pretty built. Must do yoga.

She was only about 5'4" maybe 120 or so, I would say she looked about 100, but she was more fit, so 120 seems right.

I need to do yoga.

One of the purist voices I've ever heard. She radiates goodness.

23. Hands down, the best performance I've seen
Her talent is beyond dispute-the pure voice is 'better than ice cream'. Beyond that though, her stage presence is so captivating. She truly enjoys performing and really connects with the audience. I've never seen a show where the crowd is so entralled with the performer, just in awe.

The Perishers were cool too. I was last in line to get an autographed CD. Sarah came out during there set and sang a beautiful duet with them, again just happy to be there.

I cant wait to see her again.
