ELYRIA, Ohio -- Bill Kriso, a disabled Vietnam veteran, has a bullet lodged in his brain from the war, but he remains a thankful man, NewsChannel5 reported.

"I thank Jesus. If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't be here today," said Kriso.

WEWS reported he's also thankful for finding his new home in a quiet Elyria development, so to show his appreciation he put up a sign in his window that read, "Thank You Jesus For Our New Home."

The development's management told Kriso to take the sign down.

But why should anyone care if he wants it in his window? Especially if it's not against the bylaws of the development which it sounds like is the case. At least he hasn't got a bathtub Mary in his front yard.

I've turned my front yard into a vegetable garden this year. Thank god I don't live in a development where other people think my house/yard has anything to do with them.

Having lived in a condo with really strict homeowners' association rules (my favorite remains the "no monkeys" policy), I don't see anything wrong with him having that in his window.

It doesn't make any sense - the man should be able to keep his sign in his window. It's not a huge "eye sore" or anything. He should be permitted to express himself. Too bad people can't be more accepting of differences in one another. Sheesh!

Let him have the sign. It is on his property and don't see how it could offend? He's expressing his beliefs. It's not like it is neon sign with blaring gospel music to accompany it.
