Poll question: What Movie to See Tonight?
My wife and I are again kidless this evening. A rarity. So, we shall see a movie. Scanning what is available in small town Minnesota, I have created a poll.

Feel free to post other choices but if its not on the poll we have either seen it, it ain't in town, or, no way in hell Mrs. Lunabush is gonna let me drag her to it.

My personal recc for those who haven't seen it is

Lost in Translation...

It seems like a movie that would make you feel good inside.

5. Tempted to suggest Gigli but went with Kill Bill
The reason for the Gigli nod is that Gigli represents a historic low in movie making. On par with Battlefield Earth. There is something hypnotic about a slow motion trainwreck. You would be able to tell your grandchildren you remember seeing it on the big screen.

In the end though I decided to go with Kill Bill. Whether you just want to toon into the action scenes or want to try to appreaciate the layering and mixing of genres its a wild trip. I have to say that T captures the exact essence of each genre he aims at. Trouble is like art if the audience doesn't have the background and exposure to the base forms being referenced they may not understand the work.

6. Runaway Jury
It involves Dustin Hoffman swearing in a quasi-Cajun accent--what could be better than that?!

9. "Mystic River" I'm hoping to catch it this weekend myself-
I read the book, and it was excellent, and from what I've read, the movie is true to the book and the performances are great.

11. And Freeps have tried to Boycott it!
all the more reason to see it. Seems some have a problem with the "un-Amurcun" stances of Robbins and Penn. There is a plenty funny debate going on in the Internet Movie Database listing for Mystic River:

12. I KNEW they would do that! I just knew it!
I said that to a couple of people, and they thought I was nuts, but sonofabitch, I was right! LOL If they boycott, it's their loss because it's a really good story, with interersting characters.

13. I realize it's about a month old
but I saw Under the Tuscan Sun last weekend and loved it. No violence, pretty scenery, totally mindless but I felt good at the end.
