Do you take any dietary supplements and/or vitamins?
I take garlic and fish oil. I'm thinking of adding in a multi-vitamin too. (I just don't eat as well as I use to.)

4. try to take a multi
and a salmon oil. but i usually forget. if you take the fish oil, you should also take a good multi, cause there are co-factors that it needs to really work well.
a gram of epa heavy cold water fish oil has been clinically proven to help mood disorders. and it's good for your heart, too. proven.

7. Lots... multivitamin, CoQ10, other stuff... and yeah, the fish oil.
I was on the phone with my monster in law recently and was holding my fish oil capsule in my hand. I usually like to kind of squeeze them a few times just because they're so squishy and round-y, but this time I was nervous, so I guess I was squeezing pretty hard. I was holding my hand in my lap and POP, the thing exploded all over my shirt and pants. I smelled SO BAD for the rest of the day, and believe it or not, it took 3 washings to get the smell completely out of my clothes.

10. Yes; I take a humungous vitamin pill every morning; it's time released
so that my body can absorb the nutrients slowly and thoroughly. I also take glucosamine/chondroitin for my lousy joints (bony spurs in both shoulders) along with the usual suspects for my blood pressure, cholesterol and like that...Better living through chemistry, that's my motto!

:hi:

16. No, luckily I don't. The vitamins are bad enough. They make me feel
nauseous. And the fish oil has a fishy after taste.

20. Yeah it does.
I always take mine with breakfast, so the food helps to diminish the fishy aftertaste.

Once I didn't take it with a meal and some woman asked me if I'd had fish for lunch. :o

13. oh yes!!!
2 multi-vitamins
3 calcium
3 vitamin D
3 vitamin D&A
1 vitamin C

divided into 3x per day.

I try for 30 grams of liquid protein a day, it's hard some days. My solid food intake is very heavy on the protein. All in all I strive for about 70-80 grams of protein daily. (some days I get there other days I don't) I never forget my 'pills' though.

14. Walgreens multi, B complex, fish oil
Edited on Tue May-10-05 10:51 AM by Aiptasia
Walgreens carries a killer multivite that also contains hispiridin, grape seed extract, ginko, and over 70 trace sea minerals including the usual run of vitamins in a multi-vite. Read the ingredients list on the label as they market several multi's.

I also take a B complex for energy and the antioxidants and omega-3 fish oil for the heart.

Hey, I may have expensive urine, but since I tend to eat crap instead of healthy meals, suppliments are beneficial.

Just remember, don't mess around with potassium levels too much as a suppliment. Some doctors recommend increasing potassium in the system for muscle cramps. Potassium is also a heartbeat regulator, and it isn't safe to exceed the recommended daily dose.

(edit for potassium)

15. Multivitamin, calcium, Omega 3's (Important note: READ!)....
Caution on Omega 3's. Do not exceed more than 3000 mg a day or it can interfere with blood clotting. If you take daily aspirin or NSAIDs (motrin, aleve, etc.), take even less. Fish in it's natural form is better, but I have too many concerns about mercury to eat it more than once a week. :(

19. GNC Mega-Men Daily Supplements
I only bought it because I got a deal on it. It mega-doses the B vitamins and has a ton of antioxidants. I usually don't go in for that stuff, but I started feeling really good shortly after I started taking them.

25. Yeah, I take a bunch
A multi vitamin, calcium (because I'm an old lady who doesn't get nearly enough calcium in her diet), bromalain (a pineapple extract that acts as a natural anti-inflammatory), glucosamine/chondroitin for joint health (because all my joints hurt) and I was taking something to improve memory but I can't remember where I put it. :silly:

Usually eat well enough that I do not really need to taake these vitamins, but I do it anyways. Man reading this list makes me realize how much people waste money because they do not eat well enough.
