Great quote of the day
Quote of the Day:

"One of the brilliant maneuvers of late capitalism is the invention of a technical/managerial/professional class who were told that they were in the same position of the owner class. Unless those types can afford to quit their jobs, they are in the working class. However, psychologically and ideologically, they identify with the owners, that is, with a class that holds very different fundamental interests."

From Signs of the Times editorial 1/24/05

1. Wow, that's an interesting perspective that I never thought about.
Someone making $70,000/yr. is still working class, if s/he can't just get up and quit.

2. Or making less than $70K
I know alot of republican operatives, who make considerably less than $70K, that believe the ownership class accepts them.. And they will defend the ownerships class with their last breath..
