9. You can do that in the 14th row...

7. Wow, you could go to clubs for 40 nights in a row and see about 120 bands
that are doing what the Stones now only pretend to do, if you chose to get some value for your $403 bucks.

120 bands (three bands per bill per night out), or, a band looking like ants from a half mile away that sounds kind of like a bad imitation of a band you hear on the radio every friggin day?

Support live, local music.

12. That's a pretty high limit
I called about Eagles (my wife) tickets and they were $150 behind the stage at the Coliseum. I remember cashing a paycheck and sleeping outside to get U2 tickets on "Rattle and Hum" tour, $150 bought TEN tickets.

13. That's admittedly for the front of stage area
Edited on Wed May-11-05 08:18 AM by Mike Daniels
but even the nose-bleed sections are around $70.

Rock and Roll legends or not, I don't think I'd pay over $50 for front row seats for a band that dried up creatively over 20 years ago and basically just cranks out the greatest hits on tour.

Pretty hard for rock and rollers to claim to be for the common man when the majority of the tickets are priced at upper-middle class budgets.
