2. There is always the choice of both. I myself prefer a dog's
personality. But that is me, owning three dogs, I tend to be biased.

6. I voted dogs
but I guess I was answering the question "Which animals have a better personality?" Because cats certainly do have a personality but I just think it's a personality that isn't my match. They seem moody and seem to sulk a lot and be alone. I like dogs because their personality is displayed with affection towards you it seems all the time.

I've had cats and dogs and like them both I just prefer the personality of a dog.

11. I Voted Cats.
I love dogs, but voted for cats because their personalities aren't dependent on human approval. They are who they are, not who we want them to be.

But for the most part, you are right. Cats please themselves first and you next... if they feel like it. :silly:

13. my little dog thinks she's Lassie
He woke up household at 4am by jumping on table and knocking over ceramic lamp onto tile floor. We awoke to find our 13 yr old golden retriever bleeding internally... the house was full of blood from her nose and mouth.

I fell in front yard a month later and tore knee ligaments unable to get up...once again he got attention running into son's room barking despite being in house and not seeing me.

Husband fell and broke cheek bone from garage door...knocked out in garage...dog knew and got me.

We love the little guy!

15. More? Define "more." If you mean similar to humans, dogs win hands
down. If you equate "personality" with independence, lack of domestication, then cats win.

16. As in makes you want to hang out (for lack of better word) with them,
or they are fun to be around, or does funny, cute stuff. Really whatever you define personality as.

17. I say cats!
..I have cats and a dog.. but all dogs just want to please. To me that's a personality, but not many dogs are different. Cats on the other hand.... watch out! My 17 yr old cat still played like a kitten until she was at least 14-15 yrs old? She just recently started slowing down. Plus I'm fostering kitties now, and they just jump up in the air at nothing for no reason! Now THAT'S personality to me! :)

19. Dogs rock!
Although I do like cats and other pets, I find that my dog is the funniest, silliest creature on earth. He may as well speak English because he tells me EXACTLY what he wants/needs at all times. Plus, he's too intelligent for his own good. He can get himself out of any cage or carrier and when you look at him you can see his wheels turning. He has very expressive eyebrows!!
