Hola Amigos! I'm back from sunny Mexico. Ask me anything!
The trip was great fun. Would have been nice to run into fewer Americans. My God people.....we are an ugly lot sometimes. Once I get pics developed, I will - as promised - post my first ever pic of myself.

2. Yes and no. We stayed at an all-inclusive. Pretty good food
once you learned the "system." You had to get up early and make a reservation at one of the 4-6 specialty restaurants. If you did not get up early enough to stand in line, then you were relegated to a buffet. It was a really decent buffet, but night after night was too much. Because I was there for a wedding, we ended up having several functions in the buffet restaurant.

The best food I had was when we went off property for real Mexican. Found a great little Mexican joint in Cancun, and popped in "Hemingway's" in Playa del Carmen.

3. Tengo dos preguntas
¿Por qué usted odia América tanto?

¿Está usted mejor de ahora que usted era hace cuatro años?

4. No offense but ...
... it sounds like you didn't really see Mexico, you saw an inclusive resort.

There's nothing wrong with that, of course, resorts can be great for vacations. But next time you might want to get out and explore the country a bit more, talk to the people. Mexico is a fascinating, gorgeous, complicated nation.

I highly recommend Guanajuato, a gorgeous historic city in central Mexico. I spent a wonderful week there a few years ago.

5. None taken. I did some of those activities as well.
Did you miss the part about going for the wedding? Not exactly a time to spend 3 hrs in the car each way to Chichen Itza. I'm just saying that I don't care whether it's on the plane, airport, resorts, tourist destinations, etc, Americans are without a doubt the most obnoxious and inconsiderate people you could run across.

Having said that, what is it with Europeans and their insistance on thongs and speedos?
