There are release dates and there are publication dates. In my experience with my publisher, those dates have very little to do with when the books show up in stores.
I get calls from my pal over at the nearby Borders when my new book is out. That's how I find out.
are our target in-stock days; that's when we call a book published. But the day it shows up at your bookstore? Unless you're waiting for a Harry Potter book, that depends on when the truck gets to your location.
