Tornadic Clouds that were near Lubbock Tx. tonight.
This is the lowering in a cloud and the start of a Wall Cloud, this storm is now producing a tornado in the Northern part of Lubbock Co.

1. Good pictures. Do me a favor. Don't do any closeups of the funnel
if it shows up. Run away.

10. Well not like the guys in the movie.
That was mostly hollywood. I did storm spotting with a CB radio, binoculars and my truck. We talked to the NWS to get where they wanted us to watch.

3. Sometimes I envy the "big sky" you have there.
I love being surrounded by trees but sometimes it sucks that I can never get a good look at the sky, especially when storms are brewing.

16. Thanks
Thanks for sharing the pics, I love seeing storm clouds, especially super cells. They come through here (Ohio) once in a while but, like I said, too many trees!

5. I saw two water spouts down there
in Galveston Texas a few years ago. I had fallen asleep on the beach and woke up to the funnels out on the Gulf. They never made landfall but showed for a good half hour. Good pics . My goal is to witness a tornado before I go . Ive already been through a hurricane . Scary indeed/

8. you witnessed a tornado.
Water spouts are tornados over water. Plain and simple. So you can die happy.
