Or Flight 144--http://www.chick.com/reading/tracts/0041/0041_01.asp. A couple who spent fifty years on the mission field doing good works (missionaries, mind you--people who believe wholeheartedly in God) get thrown into Hayul because They Didn't Believe In Salvation Only Through Faith. The guy next to them on the plane, who just got out of the joint (murder), gets his mansion in Heaven.

Adult men swapping spit and bare buttin' is a perversion worthy of the destruction on an entire city, but offering your young nubile virgin daughters up for rape is perfectly OK.

There there is the final part of that story where the aforementioned nubile young virgins get dad drunk and have sex with him to keep the family going.

A couple of years ago after I donated--I was taking anti-depressants at the time--I got a letter from the blood bank. Apparently the anti-depressants had caused a very slight anomaly in my liver function and they couldn't use my blood. I was recommended to take the letter to my doctor, was run through an amazing array of tests and couldn't give blood again until I could prove a clean bill of health to the blood bank.

So, yeah I'm calling bullshit on that one.

Things were very desperate then in the gay community, when only a few million dollars per year were being spent on research. One angry speaker voices such a threat, the fundies latch onto it and still talk about it 20 years later.

Of course, anyone who might be at risk for having HIV shouldn't give blood -- the tests for HIV are not 100% accurate. (They are very accurate, but if you've been tested too soon after infection, the test might be negative. I gather you're supposed to wait 3 months.)
