So.......... Did I tell you about the birthday party I attended recently?

It was a kid's birthday party. I was all set to drop off my child and run some errands.

Imagine my surprise when we walked in and saw 35 kids in this little recreation room. The noise level was pretty bad. While there were lots of kids there that my child knew, I just wasn't comfy with the idea of dropping and running.

So I stayed. The party blossomed to sixty kids. 60. Kids. Young, too - this was the six and under crowd. Each kid came with a wrapped gift. 60. gifts.

Have I mentioned the noise level yet? I think my ears are just now returning to normal.

Opening the *60* gifts was not part of the festivities, thank goodness. Can you imagine any child sitting down to open *60* gifts? :wow: I'd be horrified.

I had two cling-ons the entire time. Neither was my kid, though they knew me. They were overwhelmed, to say the least.

Good thing you stayed at that party. I can't imagine leaving small kids like that. Wonder if the other parents had a clue that it was gonna be so big?

Including classmates, relatives, neighbors and friends. That's incredible - the decibal level must have been similar to a dynamite blast.

Sounds like a nightmare.
