New holiday slasher movie proposals...

All these conversations and (generally disregarded) threads about "Friday the 13th" have got me thinking of the cornucopia of untapped holidays that could be exploited for under-financed straight to video slasher fare...

Example:

BOXING DAY

Young child sees his parents trampled to death in an after Christmas *One Day Only 70% Off Sale* on cardigan sweaters, Christmas tree skirting & Beta players.

Traumatized, he is confined to an asylum.

Dec 26... 20 years later... he escapes and heads for the same mall, where he stalks shoppers exchanging unwanted gifts & awkwardly sized sweaters. Murders occur in parking garages & dressing rooms and most often involve coat hangers, shopping carts, escalators, security tags & cinnabons.

Killer hides in the circular midst of 30% markdown XXXL fall casual print long sleeve rounder racks at the back of the Gap.

Traumatized during his youth as both Mom and Dad were killed while building a tree house from Home Depot supplied lumber and nails (the nails were cheap and the whole structure fell and squished them), little Johnny Acorn grows up in the care of a sadistic Grandmother who oversees a vast apple orchard. Two days after Johnny's 18th birthday, Granny disappears, and before long the apple pickers are disappearing among the rows of macintosh and cortlands.

When bodies, pierced with galvanized decking spikes from a high powered nail gun, are found wrapped in orange aprons and placed in the tops of the trees it's clear that a deranged killer is on the loose.

A teenage girl is fast asleep in her room and wakes up to a bloodcurdling scream. As she's on the phone w/ 911 a masked killer breaks into her room. As the killer is about to kill her, she manages to hold him back for a few seconds then the sound of the police can be heard. This scares off the killer and she escapes alive, but with all her family dead.

Fast forward 10 years later, we see a nice upper-middle class family of what the audience presumes to be the girl from earlier. Anyways, a killer starts stalking them, killing the couples children first and then all their friends they run to.

In the final sequence the couple is faced with this killer as this killer reveals its identity. Turns out, the "killer" is the little girl from the first scene out to get revenge on the "husband" who she tracked down and is the killer of the little girls family. Movie cuts out as she kills them both.

Edit: not really a "holiday" slasher flick, but could be altered into one.
