Do I have a future?

I have computer skills, some graphics design skills, some web skills, some database creation/manipulation skills.

I have allergies.

I have a sense of humor held with esteem by many, though others think I'm off the wall. One person thinks I'm bizarre, but that's his problem.

I have a sense of community and looking out for other people.

I have a sense of fair play and will not cheat to get somewhere.

I will always back out of something if I see somebody who is superior make a claim.

I am NOT, however, the brightest bulb on the tree. I may have a high IQ, but I am also tantamount to Chrissy Snow/Reg Barclay hybrid in persona. Thanks to Asperger's combined with traumatic childhood.

But I survived and am willing to serve and be a productive part in this world, if the world chooses to accept me.

What must I do to be accepted?

Your idea of who's superior just might not be accurate.

Superior?

That's a funny thing, now that you mention it. I mean, who's superior to whom?

So, stand your ground.

The transitory nature of the present makes it hard to tell.

geeks, not in a techno way, just geeky. But I like me, I love my husband, who loves me back, and my cats think I'm fabulous cuz I can open their food. What more can I ask for?

are great! We have not communicated a lot but I read what you write. Seems like you are A OK here. Are you just too shy in public? Seriously, those traits together are getting kinda rare these days and they are respectable traits.

You are an interesting and wonderful person. I read your posts and I like you. Asperger's ain't the end of the world...my son has it, my brother is autistic and both are functioning just fine.

And try to somehow carve out your place to serve because chances are no one is going to offer it to you.

These are also issues I have dealt with in my life, so I know where you are coming from to a certain degree. Surviving is a valuable skill in itself, don't you agree?
