but in answer to an above poster, they did really do it. I believe I remember a picture in Life magazine. It was the rallying cry for all of us. I stopped wearing one the very next day.

8. That's a myth.
There was a demonstration, I think in Atlantic City, and a bunch of women protested gender stereotyping, and the stupid stuff women are supposed to wear -- chucked them into a can. High heels, bras, girdles, etc.

I just looked it up too but I could swear I remember seeing a picture of that. Oh well, it certainly freed a bunch of us up anyway.

9. Not really...just stopped
wearing one. But then in the late 70's, I got pregnant with #1 son and then in early 80's with daughter.....boobs got larger with each one and had to start wearing one again.

But, when I step inside the door...it's the 1st thing I take off.
