If you had the info... and verification to take just one single GOP figure
down (as in out of office, and out of power) Which one would it be, and why?

7. I'd probably have to agree
If you get rid of Karl, a lot of others fall with him.

2. I'd go for the top
Even as a figurehead, all comes from that. If he was off limits, I'd go for Numbah 2. If not him, Rove.

3. That's easy...
... Bush. He's at the top, and he's the one that's being idolized by all the splinter groups that the GOP right-wing has been attracting. True, he's a figurehead and not the brains of the outfit, but he's an important figurehead.

The GOP isn't constructed in such a way that yanking someone out from the bottom of the pyramid will cause it to collapse. Discrediting their icons is the only way to blunt their power, and Bush is the most visible icon of all.

Your mileage may vary.... :)

4. I have two answers
From an emotional perspective, I would so like to see Tony Scalia destroyed. I would like his personal life to be so deeply affected by the scandal that he would develop severe problems.

From a practical perspective, I think that everything about Dick Cheney coming to light is the wake-up call this country needs. I do not think it is very fun to be Dick Cheney anyway, and something about him doesn't inspire me to want to see him tortured. One has to have a soul to suffer, right? A complete accounting of all his activities, though, really needs to be public knowledge.

5. I think I'd go the Cheney route
make him do a spiro agnew. It weakens bush. They have to replace, at a time when they are weakening. Starts to splinter the groups that don't like each other, but that Cheney keeps in sway through brute bullying and shutting down of all dissent.

Little nervous about who they would pick to replace him, though. But take Dick out... and the information that flows out with taking him down weakens bush... and the info that is out there to take down bush (memogate) - makes him more than a lame duck.

6. Have to go with W, disgraced, to the point nobody would want to admit they
ever voted for him. So the stink rubs off down the whole party line.

And the thing is, he wouldn't have to do anything more for that to happen. Just for the MSM to treat him exactly the way they treated Clinton, with Michael Jackson/Gary Condit/ blue dress/ Laci Petersen/runaway Bride laser focus and constant repetition.

CNN had the war memo on the home page for one day.

Bloody lazy corrupt fools. They can only make money in a prosperous nation, what do they think will happen when the bill collector comes?

W IS a disgrace. Grrrr.

8. I's go for
the top. Even though he is a figurehead hopefully it would crumple from there.
