7. I've been to Cleveland - it's a nice place
:D

Mind you, the only reason I visited Cleveland was because of family member attending college there - but still

10. The lake isn't so beautiful - Grey water with dead fish
Every time I go the the lake shore it reeks of the dead fish.
I was in Chicago last week and the water on Lake Michigan is a pretty blue/green color.

No offense, I have lived here for a few years and the weather is down right depressing.
Yes the art museum and Rock Hall are all great but how many times can you see them?

Also, there are nice people, but I came from Missouri/Iowa area and comparatively people on the whole are rude here.
If it were not for the good job, I would not choose Cleveland.

20. Cleveland is vastly improved over what it was decades ago!
Cleveland and Lake Erie are much, much better than they used to be. It's nice to see a positive turn-around, even if it isn't your favorite city.

Also, the best roller coaster amusement park in the world - Cedar Point - is right there in Sandusky, on a beautiful point of land surrounded by the lake.

22. I came from the same area, and I'm comfortable with the people from here
For rudeness, I was amazed at Northern Virginia-no disrespect to DC area DUers, but I think people there are amazingly stressed, and take it out on each other. It's too crowded I think...
So, I would say Cleveland shouldn't be ruled out.

8. Iraq, Iran and North Korea!
What do you like to do? If you like to snorkel, Hawaii's Molokai Crater is magnificent. And Tobago has good snorkeling. You can stand in the shallow water and see beautiful fish swim up to you.

Bermuda is also wonderful for its snorkeling and beauty. Be prepared with lots of money.

The Netherlands is a wonderful country to visit. If you really want an adventure, try Outer Mongolia. Now that's a trip.

If you want mountains and broad vistas try our western states. If you want mountains that seem to be on top of you, visit my state of Virginia. :bounce: Lots of history here.

Beaches: Myrtle Beach in S.C. Florida Keyes?sp.?

But Hawaii is my most favorite place to visit. But it's too damn far away and I'm getting too decrepit for that long trip, BUT I still might go back a 7th time.
Have fun and be safe wherever you go. Have you tried a cruise? Good value for your bucks.
Fran

13. Definitely not South Florida.
Especially Miami. It has all those great amenities, such as sweltering humidity, lots of crime, lots of big bugs and most people nowadays only speak Spanish.

25. If you're looking for non-international
I love the National Parks in Utah -- Arches, Zion, Bryce -- they are fabulously spectacular. Grand Canyon, too, if you've never been -- amazing!

Otherwise, I'd say ITALIA!!!
