and there's plenty left (it's on 4 screens, for cryingoutloud). There's a tent village; I pity those who camped overnight for no reason.

1. Online and advance ticketing..
Sort makes waiting in line overnight so pointless now a days. I guess it's more "ritualistic" than anything. "shrugs". I don't pity them, they choosed to do so.

2. Those camped out are simply fans having some fun...
The NY Line is actually doing charity work as well... whatever floats your boat.

4. I've got my ticket.
There are a couple of guys here who are camping out and requesting donations for a homeless organization in the area.
I feel bad for them right now-they are doing it tentless and it is getting ready to pour here.

5. Same here (although I didn't buy any tickets)

When I came past the cinema, they were still selling for the 8:30 (i.e. four hours ago) run.
I had a paper to finish :-(.

Well, as far as I could see there weren't any people camping, except at the Potsdamer Platz (where George Lucas, Portman and few more were attending).

6. For digital theaters?
I know they're having alot of fun, but also you really need to get middle of theater seats for the best effects :)

Lots of charity fundraisers too.

What fun...I'm sorry I'm waiting now !
