7. Matchlight is the one with the lighter fluid in it right?
If you don't use it quick enough, it evaporates and just turns into regular charcoal. So if you are an occasional griller, you are paying the difference for a couple of time.

Kingsford!!!
:grr:

12. Neither-
Natural lump charcoal or wood are the only two options for grilling (besides gas). All the chemicals in that lighter fluid soaking into your food can't be a good thing.

My mom always boiled them, so I'm used to it. But, I'd much rather have grilled.

And I always hated them. I can honestly say I've never boiled a hotdog and probably never will. If thats my only cooking option I'll eat something else.

You're lucky if Kingsford lights at all without a small fuel truck standing by, and stays lit, and it all burns evenly. Etc etc.

Kingsford blows.

36. Geez...take a coffee or juice can, cut out top and bottom...
...and use a "church key" opener to make holes around the side.

Lift it off yer coals with cooking gloves on.

Been around for years...and all ya need is an old juice can or coffee can.

I feel old now. LOL.

37. I actually inherited my dad's
chimney that he made out of a coffee can. My daughter's bf does most of our grilling though, and he uses lots of fluid. whatcha gonna do? I'm still afraid of grills after seeing a Coleman grill explode once. So I stay in the house, drink the beer and make a bunch of killer salads to go with whatever gets grilled.

42. I use whatever's available, but if I'm making the buying decision
I go with Matchlight.

I've never had much success with Kingsford. I had a hell of a time getting it lit evenly last night on my roommate's new kit, and last week.
