I dont talk on the phone much so it makes sense for me. Coverage is about the same as anyone else out there. I think they use the sprint network. No roaming and same charge for local or nationwide uses.

3. I have it, I *love* the Slider phone.

It's very cool.

Just be aware that you're paying .25/min for the first 10 minutes, which is almost double the amount you'd be paying for a regular plan--plus whatever you do over that(.10/min). If you want to use the phone a lot everyday, just be aware of that.

It works great for me, though.

4. Yeah that is alot...though
It is still alot less than the Verizon prepaid. Depending on how much you buy at a time it can be up to $.50 a minute...and out of your home area it goes over $1.00!!

5. Wow, that's just crazy.
Isn't there a prepaid system that gets you free nights/weekends for 34.99/mo.? Like, AT&T or something? But I think their price/minute is higher than Virgin's. My memory is fuzzy, I checked out all those things, and Virgin is what suited me best. Plus, as I said, I dig the phones.

Good luck!

7. Had no problems with mine.
Service was EXCELLENT! I think there was one time that I couldn't get a signal in the two years I used it. It's just not a good thing if you like to talk on a cell phone a lot. It's 25 cents a minute for the first 10 minutes each day. After that, it's 10 cents a minute. Not too cheap, but great if you don't use a cell phone much.
