3. The body like soft serve
dripping down in the June sun...

A pretty good album all around, tho I prefer Ruby Vroom for a "listen straight thru" album. Because the radio man fucks a model, too. ;-)

2. "Some kind of verb, some kind of moving thing
Edited on Fri May-20-05 06:53 PM by tjdee
something unseen
some hand is motioning
to rise, to rise to rise..."

Oh, I also like

"I come recommended by four out of five, I'm a factor in the whole plan"

and

"How many cans must I stack up....."

Wow, that's a blast from the past. Man, now I want to hear them and I don't have that cd!! The pain, the pain!!

6. Well, yeah...
but I haven't listened to them since...geez. At least 97. Always meant to buy the cd after borrowing it for a very long time from a guy I knew...never did.

It's not from WAY back....like, say....Duran Duran. :silly:

5. Soul Coughing were a great band
I remember playing "Screenwriter's Blues" in the car one day with my mom riding with me, and when it got to the part about screwing models her eyes got big as saucers. :)

Anyone heard the track They Might Be Giants did on the "Mink Car" CD, with Doughty on vocals? It's called Mr. Excitement and it is a great track on a CD that is very strong overall.

7. They certainly had a unique sound
("an unique sound" for the anglophiles) - dunno whatever happened to the band, and I haven't heard the TMBG song you mention... may hafta look that one up. ;-)
