Hey, body shop, take all the time you need on my car. I like this Volvo.

1. Which one did you get?
All Volvos are nice cars. I used to own a 72 Volvo coupe. I bought it in 1986, so it was old when I got it. But it was built like a tank, and it ran and ran! I hope to someday be able to afford another one.

3. Ahhh...S60, I believe.
It's a little small inside, but it's very nice.

Let's see...2004 Volvo S60 vs. 1994 Infiniti G20...hmmmm...I love my little car, but this one is nice for a while. It gets half-decent mileage, too.

4. Good car! I drive an '04 XC 70...
And I really like it. Had an '87 DL before that, which was a shame to sell, in retrospect.

Go Volvo! :headbang:

6. Some dope in an Escalade hit me from behind.
Not much damage, about $1500, but the body shop is waiting on parts.

It wasn't a serious wreck at all, and the damage was mostly cosmetic, except my trunk lid didn't work correctly.

9. Not at all. It was a low-speed wreck.
I was pretty lucky, overall.

14. Those things are massive!
I found out that my Trainer drives an Escalade! Yikes, the gas has to be outrageous on those things!

He tried to pay his way out of it. I wasn't having it. Sorry, Junior, you'll have to tell Daddy.

16. You're just evil
Edited on Fri May-20-05 07:37 PM by LynneSin
I've allowed 2 people to pay out of an accident but both times I got their insurance information and gave them 1 week to take care of it or I'd call the insurance.

Both times they paid within the week.

But I hate to say it, if I was hit by some massive SUV - I might think otherwise

18. Well, I thought about it, but I'm glad I didn't take his offer.
I didn't know until the next day that my trunk lid didn't work correctly. The insurance company figured it was $1500, and no way would I have asked for that much.

21. $1500 can be cheaper than what the insurance will do
Hell, one accident and you can be paying almost that much a year for 3 years until the accident is off your record.

11. I didn't get to ask. It was the only car the rental place had at the time.
Well, they had an Expedition, but I wouldn't want one of those gas-guzzling things.

20. Damn, things are tough all over, huh?
A new Volvo...way to go, GOPisEvil! I remember when my Toyota had to go in for a couple of days of routine work, and I rented a brand new Toyota Avalon with leather seats...oh God...I called the rental car guy and told him to put the Avalon on the bill; I told him I just could NOT bring it back...I really told him this, but he knew I was kidding. When I got my Camry back, I had a very hard time for a few days. Damn...I'm holding out for a hybrid Camry, though. They are supposed to be out next year. I'm hoping!

Enjoy your Volvo!

Too bad about the car...but to me you are worth far more than the price of a car.
