Does anyone know what the situation is in Southern California?
Edited on Mon Oct-27-03 02:56 PM by La_Serpiente
I am really concerned for the people over there. What towns and cities has the fire directly hit? I heard that more than 30,000 homes are at risk.

Is anyone from DU ok over there? Did any of their residences get affected? Is there any chance of it slowing down? Can anyone give a first hand account of what is going on? I am just really worried.

I found a map on the LA Times website.

1. watching the Simi Valley fire today...
...and it's headed toward becoming the "San Fernando Valley Fire" -- moving toward Chatsworth/Porter Ranch, etc...

4. South San Diego here
Kids are out of school, the Navy gave me the day off, lots of smoke and ash, but no immediate danger here...lots of evacuees, though.
