By unaltered, I mean the original version, not the special edition with the added scenes and effects or the extra special edition with Hayden Christiansen and celebrating Gungans and Lucas copping a squat on the fan base. The one I would've seen in the theatre in 1977, provided I was old enough to go to the theatre in 1977.
Did they play as promised and look professional? Did any extra features like audio commentaries work as promised? Was the sound quality good? Are you happy with them?
I'm thinking about buying a set, but I really want to be sure I'm getting a copy that doesn't look like it was recorded off a televsion broadcast in 1983 and copied onto sucessive generations of VHS tape since. I'm hoping somebody here at DU knows if they're decent and who'd the best seller to buy them from.
