I don't give a RODENT'S RECTUM about the new Star Wars movie.
I seem to be the only person on the PLANET who doesn't give a SHIT about this movie, or even just Star Wars in general. I feel like Elaine from that Seinfeld episode where she was the only person in the city who didn't give a shit about the movie "The English Patient", and everyone was harassing her about it. Likewise, I'm afraid that if I tell someone that I don't care for the new Star Wars movie, that they'll start harassing me and badgering me into seeing it.

Sometimes it's the worst feeling in the world. Almost as bad as the inverse scenario, which is being a HUGE fan of a TV show, movie or band that nobody else has ever heard of.

1. I despised the first one and never saw another one and never will.
Just not my type of movie and the hype is driving me nuts.

15. Same here ...
I have seen plenty of bits and pieces of many of them, but the only one I saw beginning to end, was the first one.

It did nothing for me.

In general I don't see any movies.

Cheers
Drifter

17. Do NOT stay away from movies, just stay away from the "blockbusters'
Small, independent movie theatres usually have some great films.

As far as waiting for the DVD,that's too isolating. I like to get out and mingle a bit, even if I'm going alone.

4. Nor do I. But I'm afraid that I can't identify with
your "Seinfeld" reference, because I don't watch television, either.

Not saying anyone else shouldn't; it's not for me to judge.

5. No harassment from me
If it doesn't float your boat then more power to you. I saw the original trilogy when I was a kid and loved it. That being said it wore off as I grew up. The last time I saw any of the originals was when they were re-released on the big screen and then I saw the "Empire Strikes Back" and only that one because it was my favorite and wanted to see it again on the big screen. As to this trilogy you aren't missing much so far. The first sucked (don't waste your money), the second was bearable and the third well a couple weeks down the road I will probably go see it during a matinee and in the middle of the week to get away from the fanboys. More for the simple fact that I can say I have seen them all than its "Star Wars and I must GO. But you are correct the hype is getting overboard and it actually starting to get nauseating.

I always loved that episode of "Seinfeld" for the simple fact that I found the "English Patient" one of the most boring flicks I have ever seen. I was hoping by the end of it someone would just shoot him and put him out of his misery so the film would end.

9. I know how you feel.
I've seen the new Star Wars movie, but I've never seen the Godfather. I also work at a video store right now, which makes it weird. I tell people "I have no interest in seeing the Godfather, Jaws, Casino, or (insert random new release)" and they just sit there and gawk in disbelief in sort of a "WHO is HE to think that he's better than the GODFATHER?"

I just guess mafia stuff doesn't interest me. On that tack, I also have never, and will never watch the Sopranos.

Where we both dress up like Anakan and Obi-Wan and go at it with our plastic coloured tubes in my backyard?

14. Star Whore?
Hell all this time I thought it was only me who thought that the Star Wars Movies were a massive snore fest and that princess Lay-Ya had the wackiest bagels on the side of her head hair don't...

I am amazed by the pointed headed geeks that sleep on the street daze prior to the BIG EVENT so they can be the first moron into the theater.

That is plain goofy.

16. You're not the only one,
and The English Patient sucked too. Long before the end, I was thinking, "Please, PLEASE just dump her in the cave, then we can all go home.
