Poll question: Which is your favorite Simpsons song/medley?
I had to go with "Oh, Streetcar!" but there are so many wonderful ones! I didn't even have space to put down "other"--please add more!

2. Too many good ones...
to pick just one.

And you didn't even include the one about the burlesque house, or Willy singing "Downtown", or "Who needs the Quick-E Mart?", or the Mount Splashmore song, or "CLetus the Slack-Jawed Yokel".

But my all-time favorite - "Monorail". :-)

"Were you sent here by the Devil?"
"No, good man, I'm on the level."

33. That's my fav too.
Krusty:
Well Itchy and Scratchy are gone.
But Here is a cartoon that tries to make learning fun!
(Krusty tries to laugh but ends on a sad note, then moans)
Sorry about this kids, but stay tuned; we've got some real good toy commercials coming right up, I swear.

(Music starts playing)
Kid: Hey, who left all this garbage on the steps of Congress?

Amendment:
I'm not garbage.
(Amendment starts singing)
I'm an amendment-to-be, Yes an amendment-to-be,
And I'm hoping that they'll ratify me.
There's a lot of flag-burners, Who have got too much freedom.
I want to make it legal for policemen to beat'em.
Cause there's limits to our liberties,
At least I hope and pray that there are,
Cause those liberal freaks go too far.

(Spoken)
Kid: But why can't we just make a law against flag-burning?

Amendment: Because that law would be unconstitutional. But if we changed the Constitution...

Kid: Then we could make all sorts of crazy laws!

Amendment: Now you're catching on!

(Scene flips back to Bart and Lisa)
Bart: What the hell is this?
Lisa: It's one of those campy "70's" throwbacks that appeals to Generation "X"ers.
Bart: We need another Vietnam to thin out their ranks a little.

(Spoken)
Boy: But what if they say you're not good enough to be in the Constitution?

Amendment singing:
Then I'll destroy all opposition to me.
And I'll make Ted Kennedy pay.
If he fights back, I'll say that he's gay.

(Big Fat Guy in a brown suite comes running up and states)
Big Fat Guy:
Good news, Amendment!
They ratified 'ya.
You're in the U.S. Constitution!

Amendment: Oh, yeah! Door's open, boys!
(At this point, other "right wing" bills and amendments run up the stairs of congress, shooting guns into the air and throwing bombs around).

(Scene flips back to Bart and Lisa)
Lisa: So it's true: some cartoons do encourage violence.
(Lisa punches Bart)
Bart: Ow! We gotta get Itchy & Scratchy back.
Lisa: And soon!
(Lisa punches Bart)
Bart: Ow!
(Lisa chuckles)

Edited on Mon Oct-27-03 04:35 PM by northwest
...but now I've come to loooooove your quirks,

Maggie with her eyes so bright,
Marge with hair by Frank Lloyd Wright!

Lisa can philosophise,
Bart's adept at spinning lies,
Homer's a delightful fella,
Sorry 'bout the Salmonella!!!

Homer: "Heh heh, that's OK."

Grampa, pulled from chair: "Aaaaaaahhhhh!!!!....."

Who needs the Quick-E-Mart?
Now here's the tricky part,
Oh won't you rhyme with meeeee...

Who needs the Quick-E-Mart?

Marge: "Their floors are sticky-mart,"
Lisa: "They made Dad sicky-mart,"
Bart: "Let's hurl a bricky-mart,"
Homer: "The Quick-E-Mart is real - D'OH!!!!"

Who neeeeeds the Quick-eeeeeee-Maaaaaart,
Not Meeeeeeeeee!!!!!.........

Forget the Quick-E-Mart,
Good bye to Quick-E-Mart,
Who needs the Quick-E-Mart

NOT ME!!!!

7. I Love the "Canyonero" Jingle
Can you name the truck with four wheel drive,
Smells like a steak, and seats thirty five?
Canyonero! Canyonero!

Well, it goes real slow with the hammer down
It's the country-fried truck endorsed by a clown
Canyonero! Canyonero!

Hey, hey!
Twelve yards long, two lanes wide,
Sixty five tons of American pride!
Canyonero! Canyonero!

Top of the line in utility sports,
Unexplained fires are a matter for the courts!
Canyonero! Canyonero!

She blinds everybody with her super high beams
She's a squirrel-squashin', deer-smackin' drivin' machine
Canyonero! Canyonero! Canyonero!
Whoa, Canyonero! Whoa!

8. Hens love roosters...
Hens Love Roosters
Geese Love Ganders
Everyone else loves Ned Flanders
Homer: Not me!
Everyone who counts loves Ned Flanders!

Classic, total classic.

Also excellent:
You see, some men hunt for sport,
others hunt for food
The only thing I'm hunting for
Is an outfit that looks good

See my vest, see my vest,
made from real gorilla chest
See this sweater there's no better
than authentic Irish setter

see this hat, 'twas my cat
My evening wear a vampire bat
This white slippers are albino
African endangered rhino

Grizzly bear underwear
Turtles necks I've got my share
Beret of poodle on my noodle it shall rest!
Try my red robin suit
It comes one breast or two

see my vest, see my vest, see my vest
Like my loafers
former gophers
It was that or skin my chauffeurs
But a greyhound fur tuxedo would be best

So lets prepare these dogs
kill two for matching clogs
see my vest
see my vest
oh, please, won't you see my veesssst
(I really like the vest!)

72. Is this really from the Simpsons?
I guess it would be from the one where Homer joins the Naval reserve and the Village People (along with Smithers) sing In The Navy on top of the submarine, and then drown when it submerges!

73. No...it's when Bart joined a boy band, Party Posse
N'Stink were the guest stars......it was a ploy by the Navy using "subliminable" messages in their videos for recruitment.
