Followup on Crying and the Check Engine Glitch - btw, THANKS DU!!

I'm upset and one of the things was bothering me was that I paid $80 to have a diagnostic test run to find out that my Check Engine was caused by a loose gas cap. I paid the money but it just bothered me all weekend even after I did research, talked to another Toyota owner and found out that a lose/missing gas cap is a common cause to trip the Check Engine. When my car was done the guy even said - your gas cap wasn't on there tight (I fill my gas tank up every other week)
I felt bad complaining because they're really nice folks at the Toyota Service Center. But I just felt that this whole gas cap thing was a somewhat known problem and had the guy who wrote up my ticket had checked that cap first before suggesting the diagnostic tests I would have tightened the cap and hope that the Check Engine light would have gone away in a day or so.
So I spoke with the service manager today and expressed my concerns. He explained that the diagnostic test did confirm that there was no additional problems but agreed that maybe we should have checked the gas cap first. He said that when the gas cap is tightened it takes about 1-3 days until the Check Engine light goes away but it eventually does.
So to make a long story short, without even asking the manager said he would refund my money. I have to wait for the check I wrote to clear but said that I had a legitimate complaint and that they would refund back my $80.
And I have to thank DU because so many of you replied to me in my crying thread that I should complain about the charge. I did authorize for them to do the test but only because I was not given any other information that it could be something as simple as the gas cap. But reading your replies made me realize that I should say something!! And it paid off too!!
