Web Hosting Recommendation?

Anyone have a recommendation for a reliable Linux-based web hosting provider? I'd like to set up a small business web site, initially with simple static web pages and later with online credit card ordering (SSL). I also need to register a domain name, but I obviously want to own that and transfer quickly if needed. Price is important but not as important as reliability. E-mail forwarding a plus, but I won't need too many accounts. Don't want advertising. Do want secure administration (e.g. SSH access for file transfer). Not sure what else I should be asking for. :-)

I think you get 250 MB for under 8 bucks a month, SSL capability, database set-up for an additional one time charge of 30 bucks, the holy trinity of PHP, mySQL, Apache. I run a database drive free personal ads service on one of my accounts, and in my side business of helping out small companies with their computer needs, I've set a lot of them up on powweb include other database driven websites.
