Husband found my ring!
You'll never guess where it was. He pulled into the garage and just happened to look down on the ground and there it was. It must have dropped out of my pocket when I was sweeping either last night or this morning.

I could have spent days looking in this house and never found it. Worse, two inches over and my husband could have run it over. Try explaining that to the insurance company.

I hereby promise to glue said ring to my finger from now on.

2. Oh that is the BEST POSSIBLE NEWS!
See, now he gets to gloat and do the little dance, AND you get your ring back! Talk about justice! I'm so very happy for you!!!

BTW, you might want to invest in one of those pretty little crystal ringholders. I forget right now the name of the crystal people who...wait, Waterford! They make a very nice ringholder that isn't too expensive. I keep my ring on it every night. It comes off before I undress...very secure!

Way to go! I'm so relieved for you...and I can bet you are too!

3. Hallelujah!
I never take mine off, except for today, I was painting the inside of a closet, and didn't want to get paint on it. Otherwise, no matter what, its on my finger. No way to lose it that way!

now get a nice gold chain with a good clasp and store them there, around your neck, when you aren't wearing them on your finger...

I'll second the vote for a nice necklace to put them on when you're not wearing them!

11. I think if you're one to take them off every night,
Then it's a great idea. But if you're one to take them off wherever you are and stash them in a pocket, I'm not sure having to walk to someplace to store them would be effective! :)

14. I think it just depends on the person
I'm a medium-habit person, myself. I sort of generally have a way of doing things... moreso as I get older, with things like that. I think some of it is just innate, though. Some people desire more order/structure, and some people feel confined by it.... I always like hearing your point of view, Peggy!

17. I didn't see your crystal ring holder idea until after I posted
the necklace thingy-I had thought of that last night when I was logged out. I think the crystal thing is a great idea-like LynzM said. But, if you're not near the nightstand when you pop the rings off...

I think her husband has two great future gift ideas now :)

I am glad that it was found and that you have it again. just take it as a reminder to be more careful with your ring in the future.

10. I lost my wedding ring at the deer camp 4 years ago.
I found it one year later. I thought - this must be good for at least one.

12. Congrats - I have 2 ring sagas...
I'll try to keep'em short -
Wife calls me at work from her work - ring lost - I leave work and we search her company's parking lot for hours, put up signs, ask people, go home in dark - and my headlights shine on something in our driveway. Then she recalls warming up the car that morn', taking the rings off (puffy) and placing them on her lap, just before remembering she left something in the house....

Later - I don't wear my ring at work (for safety) - (over mos.) I lose track of it - we take hers to a jeweler to copy it to replace mine and it gets stolen by UPS on it's way to NY. Later, we find mine under the bed propped inside against a leg - so we use the insurance to replace hers using mine as a copy.

good times - good times

15. This is why I got a simple ring, platinum, with a *really* embedded
stone. I NEVER remove my ring, EVER. I am constantly gardening, messing around with mosaics, making stuff out of whatever, cleaning some sorta grossness up, cooking, blah blah blah. I would never even be able to wear my ring if I took it off to do all that stuff.

So glad you found yours. I'm also glad I knew my own limitations when we chose my ring.

20. You've got a good hubby there
That's wonderful news!

I almost lost my own wedding ring once taking a dip in a lake just outside Fort Worth. As I dived down, I felt the ring slipping off my finger and had to quickly form my hand into a tight fist. If I hadn't, the ring would have been lost forever. The next weekend, I had the ring resized so that it would never happen again.

24. I'm embarrassed to admit this but..
I actually have two of those ring holder things. They were gifts from my husband. I really have no excuse now, do I? I end up using them for storage of things like pennies, hair clips, etc.

I tend to take my rings off because 1) I get an allergic reaction on my finger under the ring (anyone else?) 2) I wash my hands so much now because I'm constantly changing litter boxes or dealing with foster puppy poo. I can't stand the feeling of soap underneath my ring.

I like the idea of the chain, I'll see how that works. Other then that I will just have to do better. I can't go thru this again. Thanks everyone for your support.
