Saw previews for Chronicles of Narnia
The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe....do you plan on seeing this?

It looked good but I am concerned about Disney being behind it. Will they Disney-fy it and make it all sugary sweet?

3. I always wished
someone would make the Roger Zelazny's Amber series into movies, but then I decided the best movies were in my head.

4. I work for Disney
a lot of our worst guys in the film division have left over the past three years. Word is that they aren't messing with this series much (more control going to the director-because they know the screwed up by passing up on Jackson's version of LOTR).

5. Can't wait for the lamp-post's (voice of Eddie Murphy) aria!
It'll be, like, cool.

6. I think they'll do a good job with it.
The preview didn't looked Disney-fied. There were some impressive-looking shots of the big battle at the end, and Aslan looks like a good balance of cuddly and terrible (as he should be).

Besides, apart from one or two parts that might disturb young kids, the story is pretty tame to begin with. And the preview included a shot from the Stone Table scene (I'm trying not to spoil anything for those who haven't read the book); if they left that in, they wouldn't have cut out anything else for the sake of the children.

13. Hee hee! I think I'd rather see a Micahel Jackson version of The Hobbit
than a Peter Jackson one!

:)

11. I saw the preview at Episode III
It looks like they might have done it right. I remember the animated ones that were out when I was a kid, and I loved the books.

12. I'm not hopefull at all. IMO it will be very difficult to beat
the animated version produced in the late 70's. It's very close to the original text and, while a bit primative in the animation department, captures Narnia well.

I hope these live action versions throw something spicy into the story, though, so the fundies stop claiming the series as some sorta second Bible.
